Device Clinic
We offer the services of a full device clinic. The device clinic monitors and evaluates information from pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICD) and implantable loop recorders (ILR). The clinic follows more than 2500 devices. The devices are evaluated and immediately adjusted, as needed, under the direct supervision of the Cardiologist or the Cardiology Nurse Practitioner. Detailed device charts are kept on each patient allowing trends in heart rates, heart rhythms or fluid retention to be addressed before problems develop.
The cardiologist and the cardiology nurse practitioners monitor the biventricular pacemakers and biventricular ICDs closely and have the ability to titrate settings under echocardiography to maximize the patient’s cardiac output.
